HONG KONG (Reuters) – Bank of America Merrill Lynch appointed Joseph Fayyad and Tamao Sasada as country executives of Australia and Japan, respectively, an inner memo seen by Reuters stated.
Sasada will even turn into president and consultant director of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, based on the memo. She takes over from Jiro Seguchi, who was named co-president of Asia Pacific in January.
Fayyad will retain his present position as head of Australia funding banking and takes over from Kevin Skelton. Meanwhile, Skelton will take up a newly-created position as chairman of Australia.
Fayyad has over 20 years of funding banking expertise in Australia, whereas Sasada has labored in funding banking since becoming a member of the agency in 1998.
The modifications are first main strikes made by Seguchi and Jin Su since they have been named co-heads for the Asia Pacific enterprise.
Reiko Hayashi has additionally been appointed deputy president of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities and a director of the board, in response to the memo. Hayashi will oversee interactions with regulators and authorities departments and guarantee good governance is in place throughout the franchise.
The memo was despatched by Seguchi and Su.
